A video introducing 'real time' computer technology for staff at HSBC.

Video was chosen as the most appropriate means to help explain the thinking behind a new computer operating system for HSBC's staff. Former Tomorrow's World presenter Philippa Forrester explained the benefits of the system and demonstrated the way new features would work as the system evolved.

The challenge was to explain the impact that processing transactions in real time would have, especially where many systems would continue to update overnight until the system was fully implemented.
