A Helping Hand
Video production explaining the Halifax's
support for community projects.
When the Halifax wanted to feature
its support for community projects and charities at its AGM and
other conferences, we set out to feature as wide a range of projects
as possible, to provide a broad overview of the support on offer.
To make the production process as efficient
as possible, projects were shot on the lightweight DV-CAM video
format. The crew of two, consisting of a producer and a cameraperson
were able to shoot 14 projects across Britain in just 8 days. At
each project the team was able to evaluate the work and devise a
meaningful sequence to illustrate this.
The unobtrusive format also meant the crew
was able to film in locations including a children's hospice where
a conventional crew and equipment would have been disruptive.
The video was edited with animated captions
revealing important facts and figures about the projects, making
the video more effective in an exhibition context.
