Communications Strategy

Communications audit and design for Yorkshire Electricity Distribution.


When Yorkshire Electricity Distribution asked us to devise a communications framework to launch their revised business, we had to find a solution that would provide some consistency and stability against a backdrop of uncertain business change.

Our first task was to align the company's communications to their corporate goals. The result was the development of six communication themes that were applied across all internal communications. These were designed to provide coherence and continuity to communications.

The themes were first revealed at an event for senior and middle managers to launch the new business. They were then used extensively in communications ranging from video programmes, presentations, and even on notice boards around the organisation.

Eventually the themes were used as core ingredients in the development of the Company's new business values.
